LocallLLM Privacy Policy

HappinessAiTech (hereinafter referred to as the “Developer”) highly values the privacy of users utilizing the LocallLLM application (hereinafter referred to as the “App”) and complies with all relevant privacy laws and regulations. This Privacy Policy explains the types of information collected, used, and processed within the App, as well as the methods of handling such information.

  1. Purpose of Collection and Use of Personal Information LocallLLM is designed as an offline-based local artificial intelligence (AI) assistant app. To maximize user privacy, most data is processed strictly within the device and is not transmitted to external servers.

Chat History and Text Data: Prompts entered by the user, chat histories, and texts from attached documents (PDF, DOCX, etc.) are stored exclusively in the device’s internal storage (local database). They are never collected for AI training purposes nor transmitted to the Developer.

File and Folder Access (AI Work Folder): The App reads and writes text files strictly within the specific directory (Work Folder) that the user has explicitly selected and granted access to. File data accessed during this process is utilized solely for AI model processing within the local device.

Device Control and Status Information (Camera, Battery, etc.):

Camera Permission: Used exclusively to control the device’s flashlight (torch) on/off feature. The App does not capture, save, or transmit any photos or videos.

Installed Apps List, Battery Status, and Device Information: Queried and utilized locally within the device solely to execute apps or check device status based on the user’s text commands.

  1. Information Transmission for External Services To provide certain optional features, some information may be transmitted to external services as follows:

Web Search Feature (Optional): If the user enables the ‘Web Search’ feature in the App settings, the user’s questions (search queries) are transmitted to the selected search engine (e.g., Tavily, Serper(Google), DuckDuckGo) to retrieve relevant search results.

AI Model Download: Upon initial launch or when downloading AI models (e.g., Gemma 4) from the settings, the user’s IP address may be exposed to the external servers hosting the models (e.g., HuggingFace).

  1. Advertising Network (Provision of Information to Third Parties) To provide the service to users for free, the App includes banner advertisements provided by Google AdMob.

Google AdMob may collect de-identified data such as the device’s Advertising ID, IP address, and app usage history to deliver and personalize advertisements.

  1. Retention and Destruction of Personal Information All chat histories, preferences, and system prompts within the App are stored locally on the user’s device (local SQLite database).

Users can delete individual chat rooms or clear folders at any time through the App’s menu. If the user uninstalls the App, all related data stored on the device is immediately and permanently destroyed.

  1. Guide to Requested Device Permissions The App may request the following device permissions. Each permission is strictly used only for the stated purposes:

Internet (INTERNET): Required for downloading AI models, utilizing the Web Search feature, and loading Google AdMob advertisements.

Camera (CAMERA): Required for controlling the Flashlight (Torch) function.

Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Required to display the progress and completion status of large AI model downloads.

Vibration (VIBRATE): Required to provide specific physical feedback (vibration alerts) from the AI assistant.

  1. 외부 서비스 제공을 위한 정보 전송 앱의 특정 기능을 사용하기 위해 아래와 같이 일부 정보가 외부 서비스로 전송될 수 있습니다.
